Özet
Türkiye’de sinema tarihi yazıcılığında Nijat Özön’ün çalışmaları önemli bir yer teşkil
etmektedir. Ancak Nijat Özön’ün sinema tarihine bakışı ulusalcı, modernist, kronolojik,
çizgisel, betimleyici özellikler içermektedir. Bu eğilimin Türkiye’de sinema tarih yazıcılığına
katkıları olduğu kadar, sinema tarihinin Batı yazımındaki yeri dikkate alındığında bazı eksik
noktaları mevcuttur

Abstract
Nijat Özön’s works have an important to a place concerning the cinema historical writing
in Turkey. However, his perspective towards the cinema historical writing includes national,
modernist, chronological, linear, and descriptive features. As far as this tendency has lots of
contributions to the cinema historical writing in Turkey, there are some incomplete points with
respect to the place of the history of cinema in the West of writting
